Hey guys, so I'm back with travel diary 2/3 for this Vacation. It's ben both good and bad the past few days. Of course, everything's been beautiful but I think I got an ear infection from refusing to leave the ocean. So, I've been in quite a bit of pain for the past few days. But that being put aside, it's been an amazing experience.
Day Three
The everglades is a land mass that is known to be particularly wet and prone to lakes and canals. Florida has allowed this to flourish with natural plants and animals by making it a protected park.
It is quite a drive out from where we're staying, so it took about 2.5 hours for us to get there.
Once we got their the park is so beautifully simple. There's a small pink store with merchandise that organizes the tours. From there, you take a boat out on to some surrounding lakes while learning a great deal about the area's environment. We were even lucky enough to spot a dolphin although, we didn't quite get to see any crocodiles.
I unfortunately lost my new favourite hat while on the boat ride. But, we stopped by Village of Merrick Park in Miami to replace the hat. Of course, I ended up picking up an I (whale) Coral Gables from there as well. The mall was absolutely gorgeous. I can't believe we'd never stumbled on it before!
On another trip where we spend more time in Miami, it'd be great to explore the mall a little better.
I was just about done with shopping for the trip but it never hurts to take back a nice souvenir.

Day Four
This Day, we didn't quite have anything in particular planned so we woke up on our own time and wanted to stop by target to get a couple of things. We got far too carried away though and ended up staying a great deal of the morning shopping around there.
When we got back, we changed and head down to the beach for the afternoon. As usual, the water was gorgeous and warm. We didn't want to leave for a second. But eventually we did have to leave and get ready for dinner in Miami. Bikini: Corona
Day Five
We had to head out bright and early to get to Key West in time. And I mean early; as in 6AM and I didn't want to move out of bed. but after the 4ish hour drive, we made it down to Key West. The most southern part of the states that's actually closer to Cuba than most main Cities in the state.
The sweltering heat didn't leave much option for attire. But with some sunnies cold water, we did alright. It's a very old port town so rich with history and beautifully old architecture.
We couldn't say as much about the beach water there as it was fairly mucky and swampy. We were told that this time of year the ecosystems in the area react like this to the heat. The sand on the other hand was gorgeous.
After the beach we head back home and said goodbye to our relatives with dinner at a yummy Cuban restaurant.
